Children’s Physiotherapy
At St Agnes Physiotherapy Clinic we offer physiotherapy for children of all ages and
abilities. Our paediatric physiotherapists are specially trained to treat children. Michelle
and Sara, both work in the NHS and privately treating children of all ages and conditions.
Within the NHS they work at a special school and also as part of the paediatric
orthopaedic outpatient musculoskeletal team. Children (0-18 years of age) are not small
adults, their brains and bodies are constantly developing and changing. Paediatric
physiotherapy requires specialist training, knowledge and skills specific to children.
Michelle our children’s physiotherapist is a registered member of The Association of
Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists.
We can treat babies, children and teenagers in the comfort of their own home or at one
of our clinics. Our paediatric physiotherapist can help children overcome injury or shortterm
health conditions or help to manage long-term disabilities.
Our paediatric physiotherapist will use games and techniques appropriate to your child’s
age and ability.
At St Agnes Physio clinic your child does not need to have a formal diagnosis to enable
our physiotherapists to assess and treat them.
Our Physiotherapists have had Bobath training.
St Agnes Physiotherapy Clinic will provide a physiotherapy program that can be easily
integrated in to family life and taught to schools/nurseries. We are also more than happy
to work closely and liaise with your NHS therapists to compliment your therapy and
goals. We can also provide ongoing education to parents and carers, who may wish to
continue with treatment between sessions.

wellbeing
• Therapeutic interventions that enable and optimise development and well being
• The need to place the child at the centre of planning
• The impact that having a sick or disabled child has on family life”
